Beware Scammers

Be wary of people who randomly contact you outside of the message boards such as via email or whatsapp, with whom you have never had any previous contact.

You must, remain vigilant when using our message board and respond with caution. You are strongly advised not to part with any money until you are satisfied that any accommodation offered is genuine by viewing the property in person

Studentpad is not responsible for the behaviour of others and does not have any affiliation with any of the people posting on the message board

The Edinburgh Studentpad Student Message Board is a free service for students to meet and chat with other students who want to live together in the Edinburgh area. Use the message board to find available rooms and flatmates, or to let students know if there is a room spare in your student house.

Messages posted to the Studentpad Messageboard are monitored and we do try to ensure that only genuine messages from other students find their way onto the board. We cannot completely safeguard the board against abuse by scammers and you are therefore strongly advised not to part with money until you are satisfied that any accommodation offered is genuine. All landlords need to be registered with Edinburgh Council and they will be happy to check property/landlord details for you. You can contact them as follows:-
